Kitchens and bathrooms in Houston

Your kitchen and bathroom, with an estimate you can follow.

We are the Arrieta family and a crew of eight. We explain every step, write down what it costs and what it includes, and don't start until you approve.

Investment

Three levels of kitchen and bath work.

Each level includes labor, the materials on the list you approve and the permits when the job needs them. The number for your home goes in your written estimate.

  • Refresh

Same layout. We change what you see: cabinets or their fronts, counters, fixtures, paint and lights.

None of them includes appliances, repairs to what turns up behind a wall, or changes you ask for during the job; each of those is priced separately, in writing, before the work. A home built before 1978 can need extra steps.

Warranty

The job warranty, with its terms.

It is written into the contract and reads the same here. The term and scope are this sample's; the owner confirms them before publishing.

  • What it covers

Defects in our workmanship: a joint that opens, a cabinet that isn't level, a leak at a connection we installed, a tile that lifts.

  • How long it lasts

One year on labor from the day of final handover, signed by you and by us. Products carry their maker's own warranty.

  • What it doesn't cover

Normal wear, impact damage, water damage coming from elsewhere in the house, and repairs someone else made over our work.

  • How to make a claim

Write or call and say what's happening, with a photo. We tell you when we're coming to look. If the defect is in our work, we fix it without charging you for labor.

Materials

Choose with samples in your hand.

Before ordering anything we bring tile, counter and cabinet samples to your home, to see them in your light and beside your floor.

We choose together and everything goes on a materials list with delivery dates. Almost everything that delays a job is a material that arrived late, and that list is how you see it coming.

How we work

From the first visit to handover, in six steps.

A bathroom usually takes two to four weeks on site and a kitchen four to eight; the written estimate gives the time for your home.

  • 01

    Visit and measurements

A member of the family comes to your home, measures, looks at the pipes and walls, and listens to what you want. The visit takes about an hour.

  • 02

    Written estimate

The scope, the materials on the list, what is not included and the estimated time, in one document you can compare with others.

  • 03

    Materials and dates

We choose tile, cabinets and counters together. Before starting we confirm delivery dates, because almost everything that delays a job arrives late.

  • 04

    Contract and permits

We sign the contract with the payment schedule. If the job needs a city permit, we file it and you see it.

  • 05

    The work

You know who arrives each day. Every afternoon we send photos on WhatsApp and tell you if there is something to decide.

  • 06

    Handover and walkthrough

We walk the job together with a punch list. The labor warranty starts the day you sign the handover.

What they say

What families tell us.

“They explained everything in Spanish, from the contract to the color of the grout. The bathroom was finished in the weeks they had told us.”

Zeferino C.Primary bathroom, Southside Place

“We took out the tub for my mother. Every afternoon they sent photos on WhatsApp and we knew who was coming the next day.”

Ivanna R.Tub to shower, Rosharon

“The estimate came split into line items and that helped us compare it. They changed cabinets and counters without moving the range.”

Questions

What people ask us most.

How much does a kitchen or bathroom cost?

It depends on size, whether the layout changes, the materials and the age of the house. The number for your home comes in writing after the visit.

Who speaks Spanish on the job?

The whole crew speaks Spanish. Cielo, Jazlyn, Nahomi and Anastasio also speak English, and Cielo is the one who talks to inspectors, neighbors and your neighborhood association when needed.

Do I need a permit?

Almost always when plumbing, electrical, walls or the range location change. Swapping cabinets, painting or tiling over the same surface usually doesn't need one. The rules differ between the City of Houston and other municipalities; we check and file when it applies.

My home was built before 1978. What changes?

The federal EPA lead rule (RRP) covers homes built before 1978 when more than 6 square feet of paint per room is disturbed indoors, more than 20 square feet outdoors, or any time windows are replaced or walls demolished. In those cases floors and furniture are covered with plastic, the area is sealed off and cleaned with a HEPA vacuum. We don't dry-sand or burn old paint. Tell us the year of your home on the first call.

What if you find something behind the wall?

It happens in homes of any age: moisture, old pipes, poorly run wires. We stop, show you photos and give the cost of the fix in writing. No change goes ahead without your signature.

How much is the deposit and when do I pay?

The deposit and payment schedule are written into the contract, in parts that follow the progress of the job, and the last payment comes only after the final walkthrough. The amount is set by the contract within what Texas law allows; the owner confirms it.

Estimate

Ask for your estimate.

Tell us about your kitchen or bathroom. The visit takes about an hour: we measure, look at visible pipes and walls and leave you the scope in writing. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

When would you like to start?

We reply the way you prefer, during the hours above.
