Licenses, insurance and warranty

What you can check.

As far as we know, Texas has no state license for general remodeling contractors; the owner confirms this. So we show what can be checked, with its number where there is one.

Warranty

The job warranty, with its terms.

It is written into the contract and reads the same here. The term and scope are this sample's; the owner confirms them before publishing.

  • What it covers

Defects in our workmanship: a joint that opens, a cabinet that isn't level, a leak at a connection we installed, a tile that lifts.

  • How long it lasts

One year on labor from the day of final handover, signed by you and by us. Products carry their maker's own warranty.

  • What it doesn't cover

Normal wear, impact damage, water damage coming from elsewhere in the house, and repairs someone else made over our work.

  • How to make a claim

Write or call and say what's happening, with a photo. We tell you when we're coming to look. If the defect is in our work, we fix it without charging you for labor.

Read the contract before you sign.

We send a copy with the estimate so you can read it without hurry.
